Helping Out with American Authors & Alt 92.9

It isn’t every day you get a chance to be in the room, within arm’s reach, when an amazing band delivers an exclusive live performance. It’s even rarer when you get to hang with them and lift up your community – all in a single, special day.

That day? It’s here: On Thursday, March 28, arena-rocking American Authors come home to Massachusetts to participate in a service event at the Salvation Army in Cambridge. In partnership with Boston’s Alt 92.9, this day of service is an opportunity for volunteers to work shoulder-to-shoulder with American Authors – creators of the smash hit “Best Day of My Life” – in a one-of-a-kind community clean-up project.

Forty lucky participants won a chance to pitch in alongside American Authors, who recently released their single “Neighborhood,” at the Cambridge Salvation Army shelter and food pantry on Thursday from 10am-noon. It’s all about giving back. Feeling good. Vibing with the band.

After volunteering, contest winners will be shuttled from Cambridge to Boston to take in an intimate private performance from American Authors at McGann’s Irish Pub from 1-3pm. And to keep the music booming long after the day ends, five winners will receive a POW Mo™ expandable wireless speaker signed by members of the band themselves so listeners can blast American Authors’ tracks (as well as their other favorite artists, podcasts, sports and more) and experience Mo’s leading WaveBloom™ technology.

On Thursday, dozens of local residents will have a day they aren’t soon going to forget: They’ll show their Massachusetts pride. Serve their community. Help others. And spend a day with one of the hottest homegrown bands around.

Be sure to come back to the blog soon and see all the highlights from the event. Next time, it could be you who joins us. United We Expand!
